Our Mission
At Longform Reads, we believe the most important stories shouldn't be scrolled—they should be inhabited. Born from the legacy of the LEKH Magazine, we are a global hub for narrative journalism, intellectual essays, and deep-dive historical analysis.
We don't publish "content." We publish Human-Verified Intelligence.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking 2,500 to 5,000+ word "Prestige Tier" pieces that provide Information Gain—insights that cannot be found via a generic AI search.
Global Dispatches: On-the-ground reporting with a unique cultural or philosophical lens.
The Historian’s Perspective: Deep-dives into the past that offer a roadmap for the future.
The Reading Room: Intellectual critiques of modern literature or a definitive "history of a movement."
The Deep Work Lab: Case studies on human creativity, focus, and the philosophy of work.
Submission Guidelines (2026 Standards)
- Narrative Essays: Personal stories that transcend the "me-centric" blog post to offer a universal philosophical or cultural insight.
- Global Dispatches: Long-form reporting or reflections on a specific place, culture, or event, written with the flair of a literary journal.
- Historian Perspectives: Scholarly yet accessible deep-dives into historical events that provide context for our current global landscape.
- Investigative Longform: Rigorous, fact-based reporting on overlooked social, environmental, or technological issues.

Word Count: 1,500 – 6,000 words. (We value depth over brevity).
Human-Verified: We have a zero-tolerance policy for AI-generated drafts. We look for a distinct, idiosyncratic human voice.
Formatting: Submit in Word format with H2/H3 subheadings every 300–500 words to ensure scannability.
Citations: Use hyperlinks for all digital references and footnotes for archival/print sources.
